Each bowl has a soft, irregular scalloped rim finished in a dark iron-brown glaze that runs unevenly, pooling thicker in places for a hand-applied, painterly look. The interior glaze is a pale ivory-white base with a gentle blush-pink gradient washing across the center — a soft, atmospheric color effect (likely an underglaze pigment blown or brushed on before the clear glaze)

Details:

• Origin: Kiyomizu ware (Kiyomizu-yaki), Kyoto, Japan — Kyoto Kiyomizu-yaki Cooperative Association (maker's stamp present on base; original gold provenance label intact on each piece)

• Form: Shallow bowls with irregular scalloped rim, narrow footring — nesting set

• Glaze: Ivory-white base with soft blush-pink gradient center, fine allover crackle; iron-brown glaze outlining the rim edge

• Decoration: None carved — color achieved through underglaze gradient/blush technique

• Base: Narrow unglazed footring, impressed maker's mark, original gold Kiyomizu-yaki label

• Condition: Good vintage/secondhand condition — please see photos for glaze crazing (characteristic of the crackle finish), minor wear, or firing marks

• Dimensions: (L) 13.5cm x (H) 4.3-4.5cm

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1014/6037/7984/files/699E9C34-16AF-4FB4-A62E-2B82F9EECDA8.jpg?v=1790019258
https://tsuchi-ceramic.com/products/kiyomizu-yaki-scalloped-bowls-pair-blush-pink-gradient-glaze-iron-rimmed-wave-edge
