Kutani Ware

Kutani-yaki (九谷焼) is a distinctive style of Japanese porcelain originating in the Kutani region of Ishikawa Prefecture, dating back to the 17th century. It is known for its bold overglaze enamels — typically in deep red, green, yellow, purple, and blue — often combined with intricate patterns, landscapes, or motifs drawn from nature.

Each piece in this collection is secondhand and reflects the vivid colorwork and detailed craftsmanship that define authentic Kutani ware, making it a striking addition to any collection of Japanese ceramics.
