Tachiyoshi Kikkichi Hagi-Glaze Chrysanthemum Oval Plates, Set of Two
A pair of Japanese ceramic oval plates featuring a molded chrysanthemum (kiku) design, with fluted ribbing radiating from the center out to a scalloped edge trimmed in a dark brown rim. Finished in a soft milky white Hagi-style glaze with warm pinkish undertones showing through, characteristic of the traditional Hagi glaze aesthetic. The reverse of each plate is stamped with the maker’s mark, 橘吉 (Tachiyoshi/Kikkichi).
A versatile pair of medium-sized plates, well suited for individual servings, side dishes, or as a decorative pair for table styling. Please see photos for exact condition, including any surface wear or glaze marks.
