This pair of hand-built dishes takes an irregular hexagonal (elongated, pointed-oval) silhouette rather than a true circle, with soft, faceted corners that give each piece a faceted, jewel-like outline. The interior decoration is bold and graphic: dense combed lines radiate outward in a sunburst pattern from the rim toward a wide central well, where a hand-incised spiral sits at the very center — a simple, almost calligraphic touch that anchors the busier radiating pattern around it.

The glaze is a warm, matte-leaning white with fine dark speckling (iron spotting) scattered throughout, giving the surface a lightly rustic, oatmeal-like texture rather than a glassy shine. The footring is distinctive: a wide, raised circular foot rimmed in a dark brown-black glaze band, contrasting sharply against the pale body and standing out clearly against the plain unglazed hexagonal underside.
