Mino Yaki Celadon Sake Set with Hand-Painted Camellia, Bottle & 6 Cups

A Mino yaki sake set finished in a soft grey-green celadon glaze, comprising one tokkuri (sake bottle) with a flared pouring lip and six matching cups. Each piece is hand-painted with the same motif — a large white camellia blossom with gold-accented stamens and deep green leaves, set against a two-tone grey-and-cream ground with a small hand-painted branch mark. The cups are compact and rounded, each with an unglazed footring in warm, speckled terracotta-toned stoneware; the bottle shares the same footring treatment.

Mino ware is one of Japan’s most storied ceramic traditions, produced in Gifu Prefecture and known for its wide range of glazes and hand-finished, individual character — visible here in the fine crackle and slight brushwork variation across the set.
