Mino-Yaki Rabbit Mug, Hand-Painted “Fun Together” Message, Crackle Glaze
Mino-Yaki Rabbit Mug, Hand-Painted “Fun Together” Message, Crackle Glaze
A Japanese Mino ware mug, hand-thrown with a slightly flared rim and a small pouring lip detail opposite the handle. Finished in a soft crackle glaze, hand-painted with two playful white rabbits and the calligraphy message “あなたといっしょ 楽しい楽しい” (“together with you, fun fun”), rendered in warm brown iron pigment with a soft grey-brown wash background.
The unglazed footring reveals the pale stoneware clay body typical of Mino ware. Fine crazing runs throughout the glaze, adding to its handmade character. Please see photos for exact condition, including glaze crazing and any wear consistent with age and use.
