Sōma-yaki Double-Walled Cups, Set of 4 — Crackle Celadon Glaze, Cutout Design, Horse Gold Accents
Sōma ware (Sōma-yaki) originates in Fukushima Prefecture and is best known for two signature traits both on display here: a fine, allover crackle glaze and clever double-walled construction.
Each cup has an inner drinking vessel nested inside an outer decorative shell pierced with heart-shaped cutouts, so the pattern and glaze drips are visible through the openings while the inner cup stays fully functional. A running horse motif in gold luster — a classic Sōma-yaki emblem — appears on the pale celadon-crackle band above the dark, glossy drip glaze.
