Bizen-yaki Guinomi Cup — Matsubai Pine-Ash Glaze, Artist-Stamped Base
This guinomi cup is Bizen ware finished with a matsubai (pine-ash) glaze — a traditional glaze made from the ash of burned pine wood, prized for the soft, warm tan-brown tones and subtle variation it produces across the clay body.
A single vertical glaze drip runs down one side, a natural accent from the firing, while the interior is fully glazed in a soft grey-brown tone. The rounded, slightly conical form and gently irregular rim reflect the hand-built character typical of Bizen pottery.
