Yachimun Okinawan Pottery Plate — Hand-Painted Paneled Floral Design
A striking Yachimun (Okinawan folk pottery) plate featuring a wide decorative rim divided into alternating painted panels — deep red fields dotted with chartreuse-green, and grey-green panels with stylized red-and-green floral clusters — separated by hand-carved vertical ridges and a warm amber-brown edge. The wide cream-glazed center offers a clean contrast to the richly patterned border. The reverse is finished in a deep, glossy blackish-brown glaze with an unglazed pink-toned footring.
A wonderful example of traditional Okinawan tableware — vivid, hand-painted, and full of folk-craft character. Ideal as a serving plate or decorative display piece.
